Project content

The company invested in new equipment and additional staff for the purpose of beer production. The new equipment increased existing brewing capacity by 110%.

Beer production is split into three phases: brewing (6–8 hours, depending on the beer style), fermentation (from 24 days to a couple of years, depending on the style) and packaging (4–8 hours, depending on the can-to-keg ratio). Before the project, the second phase — fermentation — was limited by insufficient equipment, while brewing and packaging still had plenty of free but unused capacity.

The procurement covered fermenters (storage tanks). Before the project there were 4×1000 L and 2×500 L; after the investment an additional 4×1000 L and 3×500 L were added. The value of the fermenters in this project is EUR 27,711.20, with a subsidy of EUR 22,168.96.

The investment also includes an upgrade of the cooling system. The system was originally bought with the option to expand, so only additional new valves and their connection to a new electronic cabinet were purchased. The value of the cooling-system upgrade is EUR 5,000.00, with a subsidy of EUR 4,000.00.

One of the main factors behind greater capacity is employment. With additional capacity, profit moves exponentially away from fixed costs, which made two new jobs possible. Within the project, four monthly salaries for two new workers were subsidised, with a subsidy of EUR 3,840.00.
